Modica provides a charming occasion to experience
Sicliy as it might have been some 50 years ago. A picturesque
urban environment with a bustling city life invites for exploring
the old quarters, the Baroque palaces, the hundred churches
and the many traditional restaurants this authentic town has
to offer.
The city is also an excellent base for excursions to the many spectacular spots southeast Sicily has to offer and the closeby coast provides ample opportunity for enjoying the sandy beaches of the clear Mediterrenean sea. |
| Situated in a picturesque environment
at Modica Alta, the most ancient part of the beautiful Baroque
city with stunning views on the town, "VIA NATIVO"
is an old little house, recently finely restored and divided
into two independent apartments, one with a terrace, called
'TERRAZZA" and another one with a courtyard, called "CORTILETTO". Each apartment accommodates two persons and features a living space with kitchen, a double sleeping room and a bathroom with shower. Both apartments are equipped with air-conditioning and laundry machine. To ensure privacy the apartments are not rented separately. Two persons are accommodated in the apartment "Terrazza", while four persons have both apartments, 'Terrazza" and "Cortiletto" at their disposal. |

the terrace which is adjacent to the living space one enjoys spectacular

Modica is among the cities of southeast Sicily
which recently have been declared World Heritage by Unesco acknowledging
its remarkably intact urban Baroque architecture. "The city
of hundred churches" has been rebuilt completely after the earthquake
of 1693 in a joyful Spanish Baroque style that captures the
eye and inspires the spirit. For centuries the center of South
East Sicily today Modica is a romantic little town that has
conserved plenty of authenic Sicilian charme and is an perfect
location for touring southeast Sicily.
